Dr. Trenna B. Richardson started her career in nursing at a community college. In 1991, Richardson completed a practical nursing program at Texarkana College. Then, she continued at Texarkana College to complete an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1993. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Post University. Richardson has taught nursing for 16 years and has served as an Interim Dean of Nursing. She has received an Outstanding Faculty Member Award and won the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Excellence Award in 2022. In 2023, Richardson accepted a position at Tennessee State University as a retention specialist in the School of Nursing.

"Access to Destiny Supports C.H.I.L.D. Champions"
Access to Destiny is honored to recognize and support C.H.I.L.D. Champions, a faith-based nonprofit youth development and mentor program dedicated to keeping kids off the streets and in school. For the past two years, Access to Destiny has proudly partnered with C.H.I.L.D. Champions to ensure that meals, curriculum materials, rents, and other essential items are obtained, providing vital support for the program's mission. In 2024, Access to Destiny sponsored the Spring quarter Faith Adventure Lab, offering enriching experiences and opportunities for growth to the program's participants. In 2023, we also sponsored the Canvas Cross Painting Class, empowering young minds to explore their creativity and spirituality. Additionally in 2023, Access to Destiny extended its support by sponsoring a family of five with back-to-school clothes and essentials, ensuring that they have the resources needed for a successful academic year. Through these initiatives, Access to Destiny remains committed to fostering positive change and creating brighter futures for youth in our community.
